Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jack (Bud) Mullen passed peacefully from this life into the next on Sunday March 1st, 2026.
Bud was born in Nanaimo on May 21st 1930, and was lovingly called Buddy by his young sister, which stuck. He grew up in Ladysmith through the great depression in a war-separated family. Bud found his way through the world building lifelong connections everywhere he went. He was well known in the forestry and finance communities, and coached minor hockey.
Bud is pre-deceased by daughter Kathy Goodman and grandson Ryan Goodman. He is survived by Helen, his wife of 71 years, his son Paul and daughter Carol. He leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
His lasting contributions are experienced throughout British Columbia and within the Kamloops community. The many impacts to the individuals he mentored and influenced throughout his life will continue to be felt, like the ripples across the pristine lakes he loved to flyfish.
A private family ceremony was held March 6, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest a donation in Bud’s honor to two of his favorite organizations:
