Jillian Leah Procknow passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. Jill was born on March 19, 1983, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, to Patti and Gord Procknow. She grew up in Sicamous, a place that remained close to her heart, and in Kamloops, where she attended school, built her career, and made her home.
Jill married John and became Jillian Procknow Garland, sharing the Garland name with her two beloved sons, William and Freddie, who were the centre of her world.
Jill is survived by her loving husband, John, and her two beloved sons, William and Freddie. She is also lovingly remembered by her parents, Patti and Gord, her brother Rory, her grandmother, Rose Sehlin, her in-laws, Terry and Glen, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister and brothers in law, niece and nephew and family members and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Jim Sehlin, Ruth and Ross Procknow, and her sister-in-law, Lee Anne Dhaliwal.
Jill will be remembered as a sweet, kind, and gentle soul who had a quiet way of making people feel seen and accepted. She had a rare gift for helping others feel they belonged, simply by being themselves. People were naturally drawn to her, and once you were in Jill’s life, you stayed there.
Jill’s legacy is love: the way she gave it freely and the way she made others feel worthy of receiving it. Her presence created connection, and her absence will be deeply felt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 1:00 PM at Keekwillie Restaurant, Rivershore Estates and Golf Links. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice.
