So sorry to hear that Uncle John has passed. Our condolences to all of the family members

I remember John as a loving father of my best friend, John Jr.. I wish I'd had the opportunity to spend more time with him. My deepest sympathies to the family.

So very sorry to hear of Uncle John's passing. I always remember his great laughter and kindness and Auntie Sylvia's as well. Our condolences for the loss of two wonderful people.

We were saddened to hear about John's passing but I am very fortunate that I was able to meet him as well as Sylvia. I remember visiting their home one summer on a nice warm day and they wanted me to see their garden . Their pride and joy. Our sincere condolenses to the family. This past summer I had the great pleasure of meeting John during a visit he made to St. Ann's Academy (his former school). The tour of the school was to last 30 minutes but we ended up chatting for over 3 hours. John shared his family's story of arriving as immigrants, with little money and facing a whole new world with a different language. John shared his admiration for his parents and his siblings, the Sisters of St. Ann, his boyhood friendships, playing baseball, working at the munitions station (where SuperStore is now) and his time in the Navy (I was so pleased that John joined us as an honoured guest for this years Remembrance Day Prayer Service). But John was most happy sharing how blessed he was to have the family he and his wife Sylvia raised. 
While I only spent a total of maybe 8 hours with John over 4 or 5 visits I treasured his stories and his gentle nature.
St. Ann's Academy will have a Mass said for the repose of John's soul and for the needs of his family during this sorrowful time.

Sad to read of John's passing.  Great memories working in DND with John.

Joan and I send our condolences to the family on the passing of your father. We were unaware that your mother had passed away in September. We spent many wonderful hours with your parents over the years. They were a delightful couple.

I was so sad and shocked to hear of Uncle John's sudden passing, he was such a great and caring man. At the same time it brought me some comfort to know that he is now reunited with Aunty Sylvia, the boys Grandma & Grandpa and all of his brothers and sisters.

I have missed the October hunts based out of Uncle John's cabin at Roche lake. Uncle John was a great camp cook and after dinner it was always a pleasure listening to Uncle John, Ed, Lou and Dad talk about their times growing up in Kamloops and  the past hunts and fishing trips they had been on. There was always lots of laughter, what wonderful times those were. I will never forget them.

We send our love and prayers to you all - Joan, Janice, Judy and families. So many memories,  laughter and loudness with all the Garays ~ now the older Garays have moved up to Heaven, what a reunion  they must be having! 
Our hearts our heavy, but all our parents are together (as well as their parents and your brothers), I'm sure they are chasing moose, fly fishing, cooking over an open fire and tying fish hooks with Grandpa Garay :) Something they haven't done in years.

Dear Janice/Judy/Joan and families - Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Uncle John was such a sweet heart. 
We loved visiting with him and Aunty Sylvia and listening to their stories of a golden age when things seemed so much simpler - even though they lived a hard life - you wouldn't know it with all the laughter.  I will always remember their beautiful garden and how much Dad - and to be honest EVERYONE loved Uncle John's cooking!! So many memories - I think he missed Aunty Sylvia so much and the rest of the Garay family and friends - Rest in Peace Uncle John- Forever loved, never forgotten!
