Lydia Maria McGrann

With grace and in peace, Lydia Maria McGrann, also known to many as Kaima, passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hong Kong to Leonardo and Lydia Remedios on May 12, 1950, Lydia lived a life of unconditional love. She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Dennis; her children: Anthony Neil (Paul), Denise (Al); her beloved grandsons, Nicholas and Alexander; her two brothers; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and many relatives and friends. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Farrell, Dr. Gabriel, and the compassionate teams at Royal Inland Hospital - Cancer Clinic and Kamloops Hospice, whose care, kindness, and compassion brought great comfort during Lydia's final journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lydia’s memory to the BC Cancer Agency or the Kamloops Hospice Association.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 25 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Church (2250 150 St, Surrey, BC), followed by a reception. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Gethsemani (15694 32 Ave, Surrey).
