

Connie graduated from Roosevelt High school class of 1946 then attended the Honolulu School of Cosmetology where she earned her degree in 1948. She worked at Sears Roebuck and Co and the Sears Service Center where she was the manager of service calls and maintenance contracts from 1954-1993.
Connie met and married Glenn T. Tahara from Sears in 1959 and had one son Gary 1961.
After retiring from Sears, she helped take care of her grandchildren, Shelby and Tyler. She took them to swimming lessons, school functions, and sat through many after school activities.
Between Glenn, Connie, Gary, Sandra and Tyler they have over 140 years combined service to Sears.
Connie did volunteer work for Queens Medical Center where she knitted hundreds of beanie hats for the newborn babies. She also knitted Christmas stockings for many of her grandnieces and grandnephews.
Cornelia is survived by son, Gary (Sandra) Tahara; grandchildren Shelby (Nolan Yasuhara) and Tyler Tahara; great-grandson Kazden Trent Tsuneyoshi Yasuhara. Sisters Marilyn Law and Sylvia Carruthers; many Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces/nephews and Great-grandnieces/nephews.
