Michael Solomon Yuen passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Kaluna Yuen; his brothers, Phillip and Matthew Yuen; and his niece, Anela Kay Yuen.
Michael is survived by his beloved daughters, Tanya Jones (Justin) and Kelli Cole (Dane); and his cherished grandchildren, Kiana and Anela Wannomae, and Kaiya and Titan Cole. He is also survived by his significant other, Genavieve, and his hānai daughter, Ann-Marie.
He leaves behind his loving siblings: George (Paula) Yuen, Georgia (Sammy) Garbow, Larry (Imi) Yuen, Herbert (Marilyn) Yuen, Wanda (Bill) Davis, Richard Yuen, and Pearl (Gordon) Furtado, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Michael dedicated 35 years of honorable service to the Federal Fire Department, retiring as District Chief. He was deeply respected by his colleagues and the many brothers and sisters he served alongside. His leadership, dedication, and commitment to service defined his career and his life.
Michael will be lovingly remembered for his strength, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy of service, love, and aloha will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
