Our beloved, Rose Lokelani Delosantos passed peacefully to be with our Lord on August 11, 2024 at the age of 84 years. She was born on April 10, 1940 to Isidro Efipania & Caroline Aki Flores in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sadly, her older sister, Jeanette has also passed just 9 days later on August 20. The two will join and reunite with family members that have preceded them.
A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who brought fun and laughter to all those around her. “Rosie” or “Loke” had an outgoing personality and loved engaging in conversations and sharing stories and experiences even with people she just met. She loved music, jokes and her family.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Charles; a son, Charles Jr. (Gina) ; daughters, Jean (Rick) Dominguez, Judy (Cody), Joanne (Matt) Samson; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, George; a sister, Lena and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She and her husband were married December 13, 1959 and raised their family in Pearl City. She was a great homemaker. She became a school lunch supervisor in the 70’s-80’s at Palisades Elementary where she made friends and then went on in the 90’s to driving school busses bringing special needs children to and from various schools.
Our family is very grateful to have been blessed with her in our lives as long as we did. We cherish all the wonderful memories. She is and will always be deeply missed.
A private memorial is being arranged for a future date.
