

Funeral service for Mrs. Mourning will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Bishop Sullivan Center, 6435 E. Truman, Kansas City, Missouri 64156 or Hospice Care of Kansas, 15329 W. 95th, Lenexa, Kansas 66219. Emma was born August 12, 1915 in Mary’s Home, Missouri, the daughter of James and Clara Williams. She was a supervisor for 30 years of the Non Foods Warehouse for Safeway’s Stores. After retirement she worked for Kansas City, Kansas School Food Service for 9 yrs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, husband: John Francis Mourning; son-in-laws: Phillip Bradshaw and Joe B. Richards; and grandchildren: Stephen Harris, Amy Harris, John Phillip Bradshaw and Lee Aamold.
Surviving relatives include: five daughters: Cora Jean Bradshaw, Frances Sue Richards, Margaret Ann Dale, Mary Lou Aamold and husband Frank and Betty Lou Snitker and husband Roy. Grandchildren: Charles Bradshaw, John Kane and wife Karen, JoBeth Roper and husband Steve, Gregg Hosch and wife Jenny, Michael Dale and wife Christine, Brian Aamold and wife Tamara, Mary Jo Mathison and husband Chris, Robin Moore and husband Ritch, Stephen Snitker, Roy William Snitker, Jr., Richard Snitker and wife Barbara, Kim Snitker Gordon and husband Kyle and numerous great-grandchildren.
