Barbara L. McDonald

Barbara L. McDonald, 68, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 11, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 15th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Barbara was born December 10, 1946 in KCK to Harry and Nellie Anderton. A lifelong KC area resident, she graduated from Wyandotte High School. Barbara worked with the Housing Authority in Unified Government, as well as R.L. Polk and a local thrift store. She was a member of the Northland Abundant Life Worship Center and enjoyed helping in the nursery. Barbara was a voracious reader and wrote her own poetry and songs and enjoyed traveling whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd Ross McDonald, her brother, Manciel M. Anderton, and her step-daughter, Brenda Lutrell.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann Burnett; her step-children, Vickie Browning, Brian McDonald, and Eugene McDonald; her siblings, Marjorie King, Donna Minter, David Anderton (Diane), and Deborah Beckham (Robert); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
