Carol Rae Edwards (Ash), matriarch of the Central Harley-Davidson family was born in 1932. For many years she was the well-known receptionist at Dr. Hancock's and Dr. White's office in Kansas City, KS. Carol was a world renowned shopper; most of the local department stores knew her by name. In the mid 90's she took on the role of running the family Harley dealership after her husband James Leroy Edwards passed away. Family was of upmost importance to Carol, often boasting about her 5 children: Cathy (Robert) Lisenbee, Max Edwards, Marilyn Fox, Chris (Mike) McCausland and Stephanie (Ben) Tensing, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. All of who will miss her dearly. Carol passed away peacefully in the morning hours on April 30, 2013. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 5th from 1:00-2:00 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112. Burial will follow services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
