Carolyn Sue (McCombs) Hand

Carolyn Hand, 63, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away October 27, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, November 3rd at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Funeral service will be 11:00am, Wednesday, November 4th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice Advantage, 6340 Glenwood Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas 66202 or Cancer Action, 1600 Washington Boulevard, Kansas City, Kansas 66102.

Carolyn was born October 13, 1952 to William “Bill” and Mary (Stipancich) McCombs. She was a lifetime resident of Kansas City, Kansas and married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Hand on September 21, 1968. Carolyn worked for JM Fahey Construction and was a member of 1290 Laborers Union. She enjoyed going to the casinos and spending time with her grandkids.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Mary and husband, Robert “Bob” Hand. She is survived by her siblings, JoAnn Waller, Charlene Karrick, Ronny McCombs, Bob McCombs, Richard McCombs, and Sharon Wilson; children, Bobby Hand of Tonganoxie, Shelly (Mike) Horner of Kansas City, Kansas, Rodney Hand of Kansas City, Kansas, Ronny Hand of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Randy (Debbie) Hand of Bonner Springs, Kansas; ten grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
