Charles Frank Morris

Charles Morris, age 95, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. His parents Charles and Katherine Morris preceded him in death along with a brother Gene Morris and sister Katherine Hackathorn and his wife Nancy Morris.

Charles was a very proud Marine Veteran that served his country during the Korean war. He raised four daughters working as a cabinet maker and supervised the carpenter shop at Rockhurst University. He was a loving husband and father and strong in his faith in God. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting RVing with his wife and children. He enjoyed wood working, making toys for his grandchildren and turning pens. He liked telling stories and sharing wisdom of his childhood and life. He was devoted to God, his country and life, and will be greatly missed by all.

Charles is survived by four daughters, Debra Wheeler (Steve Bailey), Regina Conner, Amy Barnes and Rebecca McTaggart. One brother Dennis Morris (Lu). Six grandchildren, Brandi Morris, Steven Barnes (Hilary), Cody Wheeler (Beth), Kyle McTaggart (Michelle), Jordey McTaggart (Jessica), Storm Bailey (Marsha). Eighteen great-grandchildren, Levi Nabors (Jacquilyn), Nicholas, Braxton, Noah, Kaile, Kyle Jr, Dakota, Aliann, Ayden, Kolton, Callie, Karter, Isabella, Rayne, Konnor, Mia, Kirsten and Emma. Four great-great grandchildren, Brantly, Maeva, Julianna and Jeremiah.

A visitation for Charles will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM.
