Claude Dale Fraker, 78, of Tonganoxie, Kansas, passed away June 8, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Graveside services will be 2:00pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, KCK, with visitation from 1-2pm preceding the service in Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home.
Dale was born December 2, 1939 in Springdale, Arkansas to Claude Bruster “CB” and Gladys Fraker. He married Christine Gilbert in 1961 and they were part-owners of a large farm in Arkansas with 144,000 laying hens and Black Angus cattle before they sold and moved to Bonner Springs in 1967. Dale served in the Marine Reserves. He also worked in construction, as well as Lock Joint Pipe, and retired from Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in the mid-2000s. Claude enjoyed mowing the lawn with a beer in hand, watching westerns and Nascar, and traveling to visit family in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, CB and Gladys Fraker; his brother, J.L. Fraker; and his son, Timothy Fraker-Jones.
Claude is survived by his wife Christine Fraker; his children, Teresa Lawrence (Mike), Terry Dale Fraker, Travis Lee Fraker, Tamara Young (Larry); his sister, Oneida Berry (Edward); as well as thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
