

Clifton Archibald Rangel of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on August 16, 2021. He was 57 years old. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 starting at 3:00 pm at City Center Church, 17500 West 87th Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66219. Clifton was born on March 11, 1964 in Kansas City, Kansas to Richard Leonard and Sarah Angela Rangel. After high school, Clifton attended college to play football. After his education, Clifton was heavily involved in the community sports. He coached football and baseball and had a spectacular, unconditional love for his players/sons. Clifton also spent time working at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KU Medical Center).
Clifton was married to the love of his life, Melissa, for 30 blessed years. Together, they had three loving children, Alyssa, Clifton Jr., and Christian. After years of being a devoted husband and father, Clifton was honored with the title of grandfather to seven beautiful grandchildren. Clifton was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
Clifton was preceded in death by his younger brother, David Rangel.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Melissa Rangel; daughter, Alyssa Young and her husband, Nick; son, Clifton Rangel Jr. and wife Markisha; son, Christian Rangel; 7 grandchildren; parents, Richard and Sarah Rangel; sister, Victoria Romero and husband, Ed; brother, Richard Rangel Jr.; brother Andrew Rangel and wife, Lisa; and a lot of loved nieces and nephews.
