

Constance M. (Mitchell) Christensen, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on November 27, 2017 at the age of 81. She was born on May 23, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to William and Viola Mitchell.
Connie’s entire career was with TWA, where she met her husband, Chris. She was responsible for publishing training manuals for the company engineers. She also was a great organizer and was recruited to spearhead the TWA employee club and newsletter.
After retiring Connie and Chris loved to explore in their travel trailer, spending many summers in Yellowstone and winters in the southwest. They traveled extensively throughout the world and as recently as last year, she toured Ireland with her sisters.
Her interests included reading, painting, and crafts of all kinds. She also loved cooking for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon (Chris) Christensen and her parents, William and Viola Mitchell.
Connie is survived by her children, William (Kathy) Guarino, Eldonna (Bruce) Johnson, Verne (Stephanie) Christensen; sisters, Susanna (Charles) Ball and Patricia (Karl) Oesch; as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be at 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
