He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He loved sports, driving and traveling. He was employed with the Kansas City Star and Times for over 40 years. Then volunteered for Shawnee Mission Advent Health Hospital for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Cecelia Ann Linnell, 3 children Martin Linnell, David Linnell (Julie), Leslie Henry(Brad), 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Gloria Duncan, sister in laws Billie Chaney, Donna Cox, brother in law Ronnie Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for David will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
David will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112; Garden of Meditation; Section: A, Lot: 363, Grave: 1.
Serving as pallbearers are Brad Henry, Kyle Henry, Blake Henry, David Linnell, Alex Linnell, Shawn Linnell and Martin Linnell.
