Donal Lee Crawford

Donal Lee Crawford, Sr., 82, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3 at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Donal was born June 14, 1929 in Atkins, Arkansas to Claud Lee and Mary Margaret Crawford. A Kansas City resident since 1953, Donal was a member of St. Patrick Church. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and retired in 1991. Donal was a square dancer with J-N for over fifty years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Mary Crawford. Donal is survived by his wife Henrietta Koch Crawford of the home; sons Donal Lee Crawford, Jr. and wife Nancy of Kansas City, Kansas; Scott A. Crawford of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter Deborah J. Mendez and husband Richard of Kansas City, Kansas; brother Claud Crawford, Jr. and wife Lola of Dardanelle, Arkansas; grandchildren Dawn Crawford of Independence, Missouri; Brooke Crawford of Independence, Missouri; Deric Mendez and wife Jolene of Kansas City, Kansas; Erik Mendez and wife Shannon of Kansas City, Kansas; Ryne Mendez and wife Nicole of Kansas City, Kansas; McKay Roberts Crawford of Atchison, Kansas as well as eleven great grandchildren.
