

Donald L. Beashore, 77, of Kansas City, KS passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Providence Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Open Door Baptist Church 3033 N. 103rd Terr. Kansas City, KS. Burial In Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army. Don was born on December 7, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to Samuel and Madeline (Leach) Beashore. He was a long time Field Sales manager in the auto parts business. Don was a 1950 graduate of Wyandotte High School. He was a Korea War Veteran, serving from 1951-1954, rising to the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Don was a 50 yr. member of the Westgate Masonic Lodge No. 438. He was a member of the Scottish Rite as well as a lifetime member of the Abdallah Shrine and the VFW. He was a member of Maywood Community Church. Don is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Beverley Beashore of the home, 4 sons: Mike (Donna), Mark (Lee), Ed (Kathleen), and Larry (Lisa), daughter: Dona O’Neal and husband (Dennis) all of Kansas City, KS, and daughter: Lea Werremeyer and husband (Linnel) of Athens, Alabama. Don is also blessed with 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren who will miss him greatly.
