Donna Lee Bond, 82, of Parkville, MO, peacefully passed away Jan. 12, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am., Tues., Jan. 17 at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 am preceding the service. A graveside service will be immediately following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or the Ronald McDonald House.
Donna was born Nov. 29, 1940, in KCK to Eugene and Mary Davidson. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1959. Donna married the love of her life, Ron on June 12, 1962. She was a long time member of the First Assembly of God in KCK and most recently attended Briarcliff Church. As a stay-at-home mother for many years, Donna dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm, loving, God-focused home. For over 20 years, Donna was employed at the ½ Price Store (later Gordman’s). She found great joy and fulfillment in being a mom to many, giving godly advice and sharing her faith with friends and strangers. Her children remember her for her selflessness, kindness, love, and unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents, Eugene and Mary Davidson; and her brother, Paul Davidson.
Donna is survived by her son, Ron Bond (Roberta) of Cincinnati, OH, her daughter, Mary Lynn Hawkins (Steve) of Parkville, and son Darryl Bond (Monica) of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Amanda Foster (Kevin Ulmo), Sara Bond (William Choi) (Ryan Ewigman), Zach Craig (Alexandra), Kristyn Craig, Savanna Roberts (Mike), Samantha, Cadyn, Alex, and Jeni Bond; and her great-grandchildren, Heather, William, and Wesley Ulmo, and Anakin Roberts.
