Doris Evelyn Priest

Doris Evelyn Priest, 96, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away peacefully July 8, 2017 with family at her bedside. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memory contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Doris was born August 14, 1920 in Milford, Nebraska to Paul and Arleigh Moorberg. She graduated from high school in Lincoln, Nebraska. Doris met the love of her life, Frank L. Priest, Jr., and they married in 1943. She was a long time resident of Kansas City, Kansas and was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and children.

Doris was a homemaker and also worked outside of the home for many years. She enjoyed time spent with family and

grandchildren and had a love for gardening and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Frank L. Priest, Jr.; her sisters, Jeanette Boender, and Joan Van Der Aa.

Doris is survived by her three sons, Michael Priest (Peggy) of Springfield, MO, Dennis Priest (Lori) of Pleasant Valley, MO, and Kelly Priest (Cathy) of West Linn, OR; eight grandchildren, Paul, Bob, Maggie, Alicia, Katelyn, Dylan, Stephanie, Tyler, and Avery; and several great-grandchildren.
