Elizabeth Marie Agre, age 62, of Longville, Minnesota, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Elizabeth was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents Richard and June Tinius. She dedicated her career to helping people. She was an RN and worked as a psychiatric nurse for more than 30 years, most recently at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She loved being a psych nurse! She enjoyed painting, writing poetry, photography, and volunteering. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Elizabeth and Scott enjoyed over 36 years of adventures together. She was very proud of her three wonderful kids and considered them her greatest accomplishment. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, care for others, and the love she shared with everyone her life touched. Although Elizabeth struggled with her health for several years, it never stopped her from doing what she wanted, she just did it a bit slower. Her photo reflects her spirit. She was even more beautiful on the inside than on the outside, which was hard to do.
Fortunate to retire early, she discovered a love for expressing herself creatively. Her poetry and nature photography can be found online in various publications. Her artwork and crafts were displayed and sold at the local gallery. The cabin in Longville on beautiful Blackwater Lake, where she lived alongside the wolves, bears, and bobcats, was her favorite place in the world. She loved hiking, kayaking, fishing, and sitting by the fireplace watching the snow fall. She, in her own words, “ran far, far away from city life and into the north woods of Minnesota. She took the dog and husband with her and has never looked back.”
Surviving to carry on her memory are her husband, Scott Agre of Longville; children, Regan Agre (fiancé, Tyler Metzger) of Kansas City, Michael (Monika) Agre of Las Vegas, and Keller Agre (fiancée, Caitlin Franchini) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Lola, Ada, Alex, Meadow, Olivia, and Kat; her mother, June Tinius; her brother, David Tinius; sister-in-law, Lori (Rudy) Vigil and her many friends and family who will miss her dearly - and the countless strangers she treated as friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Tinius, and her sister, Shelly.
We love you – you are no longer in pain.
A family remembrance will be held at her beloved Minnesota lake house in the summer.
