Frankie E McMillin

Frankie E. McMillin, 76 years of age, resident of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away January 11, 2015 at KC Hospice & Palliative Care. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:30 pm, with funeral services to follow at 4:30 p.m. all on Saturday, January 17th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, donations to support ongoing substance recovery efforts may be made to the surviving sons, Carl and/or Dennis McMillin.

Frankie was born April 16, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas to Frank and Bernice Wilcox. She graduated from Washington High School and received her associates in Arts in Chemical Dependency from Kansas City Kansas Community College. Frankie was a counselor for Social Rehabilitation Services, and found great solace in her recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. She loved antiquing and playing cards, especially canasta, rummy and solitaire. Frankie was a woman of fashion and always enjoyed dressing to the 9’s.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sons, Dennis Scott McMillin (Reina Valdiviez), and Carl Eric McMillin; her brother, Dennis Frank Wilcox; her sisters, Carol Ann Jones and Delores Eileen Burgess; her grandchildren, Corey Dean McMillin and Chad Mathew McMillin.
