Georgia Sue Wayne

Georgia “Sue” Wayne, 78, of Kansas City, KS, passed away August 7, 2012, in Kansas City, KS. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time at 10:00. Sue was born November 25, 1933 in Tomahawk, Arkansas, the daughter of Manford and Georgia (Warner) Fisher. Growing up in Kansas, she was in the class of ’52 at Wyandotte High School in KCK. Sue raised 5 children and worked at Blue Cross & Blue Shield until her retirement. She enjoyed her grandchildren, dancing, traveling, her dog “Nickie Joe” who participated in the Pets For Life program when she volunteered at the KU Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter: Sharon Sue South. She is survived by her sons: Dennis Duane Rogers & wife Gailla of Lee’s Summit, MO, Albert Lloyd Rogers & wife Sheryl of KCK, Jerry Lynn Rogers & wife Carolyn of Rifle, CO and Harry Guy Rogers and wife Nancy of KCK; brother: Torance Fisher and wife JoAnn of Gladstone, MO; 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and friends.
