Gerald was born April 10, 1959 to Wayne and Donna Beck in Kansas City, KS. Gerald graduated from Schlagle High School in 1978 and married the love of his life, Kim, on August 15,1992 in Branson, MO.
Gerald worked for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County for 26 years, retiring as an Operations Superintendent for the Public Works Street Department in 2019.
Gerald loved spending time with Kim, camping and fishing with their friends at Perry Lake. He also enjoyed spending time with his 5 kids and 10 grandchildren swimming at the pool, cooking out, and being together at family gatherings. You could find him any weekend at one of his grandkids sporting events, dance recitals, and a number of other activities. He was always proud to cheer them on.
Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberli Beck. He is survived by daughters, Tiffany (Jeremy) Mische, Rachel (Michael) Smith, and Stasha (Eric) Ferguson; Stepsons Brandon Grover and Nicholas Grover; and his grandchildren Drake Mische, Ryker Mische, Bristol Smith, Nolan Smith, Axel Mische, Maxyn Grover, Joey Grover, Nicholas Grover Jr., Harper Ferguson and Brooks Ferguson.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, located at 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, on January 22, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm.
The final resting place will be Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, situated at 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City.
