

Gloria J. Langton, 68, of Kansas City, MO., passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Gloria will forever be remembered as a beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Gloria was born on June 24, 1943 in Kansas City, KS., to William L. and Blanche M. (Ashlock) Cain. She attended Wyandotte High School, and Bethany Medical Center where she earned her degree in Medical Terminology. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and attending auctions. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, son; Kevin Akes, brother; Wayne Cain, sister; Virginia Gower and brother-in-laws; Bill Stone and Buck Bush. Survivors include her husband of 34 years Robert J. Langton of the home, daughters; Karla Starkey and her husband Larry of Kansas City, MO., Karen Cranston and her husband Jim of Gladstone, MO., and June Chapman of the home. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren; Amy Akes, Kayla Cranston and Nicholas Cranston, great granddaughter; Trinity Seifert, and another little angel on the way. She will be sadly missed by her two brothers; William Cain and his wife Dora of Wellsville, KS. and Leonard Cain of Kansas City, KS., sisters; Frances Stone and Gail Bush both of Kansas City, KS., along with several nieces and nephews. A private family Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
