Harold Eugene Kent, Sr., 82, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was born March 7, 1934 to Robert and Edith (Patterson) Kent in Kansas City, Kansas. Harold worked for the Turner School District 202 and in his free time, enjoyed playing checkers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, of 52 years, Mammie Elaine Kent; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Harold Eugene Kent, Jr.; daughter, Edith (John) Finley; sister, Becky (Raymond) Hixson; grandchildren, Amanda (Alfredo) Jemeniz and Harold (Brenna Marie) Kent III; great-grandchildren, Jose Jemeniz, Emma Jemeniz, Zaya Kent, Zoey Kent, Zurie Kent and Aries Kent.
A visitation will be held Friday, July 1st from 10:00-11:00 AM with Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 South 34th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66106.
