

Hillard James Rudnick, 91, of Kansas City, Kansas and long time resident of Burbank, Illinois passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was known as “Jim to friends and family, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandpa. Jim was born on April 8, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Frances and Anthony Rudnick. He married the love of his life Julia Duda on April 4, 1959. They were married for 52 years. Jim was self employed repairing cars, boats, lawn mowers, snow blowers and anything else mechanical. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Boucek and grandson Kevin Johnson. Survivors include his wife Julia Katrina Rudnick of the home, daughters: Julie Johnson and her husband Joel of Kansas City, KS., Gina Johnson and her husband Alan of Overland Park, KS., sons: Jim Boucek and his wife Alice of Morristown, AZ. and Jimmy Spadafora of Mountain Home, AR. Left behind to cherish his memory are his 8 grandchildren: Jeremy, Janelle, Jared, Brian, Debbie, Cheryl, Christine and Kristy. Jim will also be sadly missed by his 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home 701 N. 94th St. Kansas City, KS. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
