James H. Skaggs Sr, 83 years old was born October 6, 1939 and passed away March 4, 2023. James was proceeded in death by his wife Anna Marie, father Norman N. Skaggs, mother Mary Seibert, brother Joseph A. Skaggs, and half-sister Dorothy Gutierrez.
James was a Wyandotte High School Class of 1957. After graduation, he joined the United Stated Navy. Then he became a Fire Fighter for the Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department retiring after 33 years, as a District Chief.
James leaves behind two sons, James Skaggs Jr (Becky), Michael Skaggs (Theresa), a daughter Jennifer Wheeler (Greg). His grandchildren, Luke J Skaggs, Laura E. Martin (Cody), Benjamin A. Skaggs (Kristy), Katherine E Skaggs, Elizabeth K. Skaggs, Andrew S Skaggs (Taylor), Jacob R. Wheeler and Ty G. Wheeler. His great grandchildren, Daniel I Ebling, Ce Ce Skaggs and Kip W. Martin. James loved his family and he loved his grand kids and really loved his great grand kids.
