Jeany L King Whitaker

Jeany L. Whitaker, 43, of Kansas City, KS., passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 20, 2011. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving daughter, mother, sister and friend. Jeany was born on January 10, 1968 in Kansas City, MO., to Bruce and Janice (Winslow) King. She lived in the Kansas City area all of her life. Jeany graduated from Sumner High School. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Leavenworth, KS. Before her sudden illness, she was employed with Proctor and Gamble. Survivors include the love of her life, husband of 7 years, Kenneth L. Whitaker, mother: Janice King, father: Bruce King, stepmother: Sherry King, stepfather: Donald Morgan, daughter: Katelyn Bruce, and sister Angela McKenna. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. A Funeral Service starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home on Monday will conclude the services for that evening.
