Joseph Dwayne Hull was born June 9th, 1989, on his parent’s 16th wedding anniversary. He resided in Valley Springs California on a little farm with his seven siblings. He loved the land, his animals, and everything country. Just after his 9th birthday he suffered the greatest loss of his life, his father died. With his mother and siblings, he moved to El Dorado to a larger piece of land. He joined 4H and raised sheep. In his younger teen years, he began doing land management on neighboring farms. Joseph was a hard worker and was proud of the work ethic he learned from his father.
Music was a big part of Joseph’s life. He played guitar and piano.
Joseph and his family moved to Kansas City in 2007 when his mom remarried. He attended JCCC and worked at local golf courses. He was thrilled when he was hired by Goedeke where he had the opportunity to learn to work with the large equipment he loved. His dream was to be able to work on tower cranes and he was given that opportunity when he was hired by JE Dunn Blue Hat Crane.
From the time Joseph was very young he loved being with his daddy in his diesel truck. His love of diesels continued, and he has been an active part of the Kansas City Diesel group.
Joseph was a defender of the defenseless. He was the first to help anyone in need.
Joseph was proceeded in death by his father Stephen Hull, and siblings, Nan, Savanny, Nicholas, Michelle, and Stephanie. He is survived by his mother Grace Hull Basel, stepfather Chris Basel, and brother James Hull.
Services will be held on Saturday September 24, 2022, at Shawnee Bible Church. A diesel truck processional will arrive at 1 PM and services will begin at 2 PM.
