Kelly Annette Turner, 55, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on August 1, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born June 27, 1967 in Kansas City, Kansas to Steve and Judy Turner. She was a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1985.
Kelly spent most of her adult life in Kansas City, Kansas. She was retired from the United States Postal Service where she worked as a mail handler at Kansas City, Kansas NDC.
Kelly loved to paint and design pictures, enjoyed gardening, and above all else, taking care of her many pet dogs over the years, who she considered her children.
She visited Puerto Vallarta, Mexico several years ago on vacation and fell in love with what she called "paradise" and she was able to fulfill her dream of moving there for three years before becoming ill and returning to the Kansas City Area.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her mother, Judy Turner of Kansas City, Kansas; her father, Steve Turner of Topeka, Kansas; brother, Steve Turner of Kansas City, Kansas; her sister Michelle Shedd of Kansas City, Kansas; as well as countless nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and memorable cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved fur baby, Jules, who was the light of her life.
A memorial service for Kelly will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
Kelly will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
Kelly was a freedom fighter who believed in the equality of all people.
