Larry Eugene Waite, 70, Kansas City, Missouri passed away January 25, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Larry was born on August 3, 1951 in Cameron, Oklahoma. He attended school in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Most of his career was with Cereal Food Processors in Bonner Springs, where he retired in 2014.
Larry was a hard worker throughout his life. He enjoyed his family and friends along with his horses, hunting, racing cars at Riverside Speedway, riding his Harley and watching the Kansas City Chiefs!!
Larry was preceded in passing by his wife, Connie S. Waite; son, Michael H. Waite; mother, Mattie Marshall; father, Floyd H. Waite; grandparents, Easter and Jim Walls; and one brother, Roger Waite.
Survivors include his five children, Wesley Waite, Windy (Andrew, Sr.) Pippin, Melissa Waite, Joseph Waite and Jeanna Marcus; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Ace (Gloria) Waite, Jim Waite, and Carl Waite; sister, Cindy (Kevin) Wiggins; and he was “dad” and “grandpa” to many others.
Larry’s family would like to thank Interim Healthcare and his granddaughter and caregiver, Amber Waite for being his #1 Nurse along with his other two granddaughters, Lila Squire and Bailie Waite for all of their assistance.
