Margaret A. Harrell, 70, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away July 6, 2018 at home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Friday, July 13th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Autism Society of America or the Great Plains SPCA.
Margaret was born December 24, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Floyd and Hattie Myrick. She graduated from Argentine High School and attended KCKCC for the computer sciences. Margaret was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Donald Harrell, in 1968, and they enjoyed 37 years of marriage before his passing in 2005. She was a longtime I/O Operator for JC Penney’s, retiring in 2009. Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies and television, especially science-fiction, and spending time with her family and doting on her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Harrell; and her son, Jason Harrell.
Margaret is survived by her children, Dawn Harrell (David Henke), Jerrad Harrell (Christina), Whitner Jackson Graham, II; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Harrell; her grandchildren, Chelsey Kay, Zachary Harrell (Cassaundra Ogran), Jesse Harrell, and Angel Harrell; and great-grandson, Brayden James; as well as other relatives and friends.
