Martin A. Billings Sr.

Martin A. “Marty” Billings, Sr., 43, of Riverside, Missouri, passed away suddenly on January 31, 2016 at home. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, February 5th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Marty was born March 7, 1972 in Kansas City, Kansas to James and Carol Billings. He graduated from Wyandotte High School and has worked for Tompkins Industries for several years. Marty was a former Journeyman for the Sheet Metal Workers Union #2. He was a huge sports fan, mainly football. Marty was an avid bowler and belonged to many leagues over the years. He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle whenever he had the chance.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his brother, James Matthew Billings.

Marty is survived by his parents, James and Carol Billings of Leawood, Kansas; his daughter, Rebecca Billings and her son, Wyatt Billings of Richmond, Kansas; his son, Martin Billings, Jr. of Riverside, Missouri; and his sister, Kerri Beck and her husband Kevin of Leawood, Kansas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and other family.
