George lived in Muskogee OK, until he migrated to Kansas City, MO, at the age of 5. He attended elementary school in Kansas City, MO. and completed his formal education at R.T. Coles Vocational High School where he participated in Student Council, ROTC, Senior Hi-Y, and National Honor Society, graduating with the class of 1952. After graduation, George joined the United States Air Force (USAF); where he had active duty deployments in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After 20 years with the USAF, George retired as a Master Sergeant; and he then attended Washburn University, in Topeka Kansas, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1974.
While on leave from the USAF, George met Suzy B. Davis in Muskogee, OK. After briefly dating, George and Suzy were married. That union produced four beautiful daughters; Elizabeth Lynette Morris, Chris Suzanne Morris, Francine Mai Morris and his namesake, Georgette Eugenia Morris. After the marriage dissolved; George prided himself on raising his "jewels" by teaching them how to be well-rounded young women, exposing them to sports, music, arts and different cultures, while also teaching them how to throw a right hand lead.
After retirement from the USAF, George worked another 15 years at Xerox Corporation. During that time George married Marie Williams Nichols, Kansas City KS; joining his four daughters with Marie's three children; Elliott LaQuinn, Turshia Marie, and LeNece Rae Nichols. Marie cared for George until the very end; fulfilling her vows "until death do us part".
After George retired from Xerox, he worked as a substitute teacher with USD 500, and an art instructor at the Kansas City Kansas technical school. Being a self-taught portrait artist, sculptor and drawing instructor, George opened the G. E. Morris Art Studio. He was widely known as an incredibly talented artist, who would often be seen at restaurants drawing portraits of random people on the napkins. George has won several awards and has been honored for multiple art projects to include wood and ceramic sculptures, pencil, ink and oil portraits, as well as a mural at Bartle Hall, downtown Kansas City, MO. He also drew on silk cloth, a replica of the original Buffalo Soldier flag that is on display at the Richard Allen Cultural Center and Museum, Leavenworth KS; and an original portrait giving honor to the American Negro League is on display at the Negro League Baseball Museum, Kansas City, MO. George left behind an amazing catalog of art for his wife, children, and grandchildren to forever cherish.
George's health began to fail during the pandemic. He was briefly hospitalized at KU Medical Center and Providence Hospitals; before going home to hospice care. After a full and meaningful 91 years of life; God called George to his eternal home, surrounded by his wife and children; on July 20th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Foster Morris Sr. and Fannye Mae Watson Davis; his brothers Charles Foster Morris, Jr., Emmett Maurice Morris, Sr. Kenneth Morris and sister Charlotte Morris.
