

Michael “Mike” D. Blair, 52, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away November 30, 2015 at home surrounded by family. He was born January 22, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas to Marvin Dale and Noel Deanne (McCutcheon) Blair.
Michael served in the United States Navy for 22 years before retiring as an AOCS in November of 2003. He retired from the Navy with six Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, two Navy “E” Ribbons, five Good Conduct Medals, four Navy Achievement Medals, two Navy Unit Commendations, two Meritorious Unite Commendations, two National Defense Service Medals, a NATO Medal, a Navy Commendation Medal as well as Armed Forces Service.
From 2004-2006, Mike worked for ITW Dymon and then for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County from 2006-2010 and again from 2012-2015. In his free time, Mike loved to ride his Harley, play with his Traxxas remote control truck, watch Eagles at the Wyandotte County Lake and enjoyed watching NASCAR and college football especially FSU. The family had a lake home at the Ozarks where he could often be found on the Pontoon boat.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Marvin D. Blair. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Angie (Clark) Blair; mother, Noel Blair; sisters, Terre (Bruce) Roberts and Jodi (Bob) Dulle; and four nephews, Scott Roberts, Shaun Roberts, Robert Dulle and Brian Dulle and great-nephews, Brody Roberts and Blair Roberts.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 3rd from 5:00-8:00PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday, December 4th at 10:00AM followed by interment with Navy Honors at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America, 10109 East 79th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133 or Good Shepherd Hospice, 11253 Strang Line Road, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.
