Ora "Mac" Edward McIntosh

Ora Edward “Mac” McIntosh, 82, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Providence Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:30 pm, Friday, January 6, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, Friday, at the funeral home.

Mac was born March 29, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ora and Aiev McIntosh. He retired from GM after 34 ½ years where he worked as a specialist. Mac proudly served in the United States Air Force from August 26, 1950 to August 14, 1951. He taught Nuclear Physics at Kansas University. He was a Mason for 50 years, a Shriner for 30 years in the classic cars, and member of the Scottish Rite. He will be remembered as a devoted family man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Aiev McIntosh.

Mac is survived by his wife of 60 years: Mildred Marie McIntosch; son: Gary Edward McIntosh; daughter: Lu Ann Hargis; brother: Dale McIntosh; grandchildren: Sean Ryan McIntosh, Erin Kate McIntosh, Amber Marie Wolfe, Elizabeth Dawn Wolfe, Crystal Ann Walker; and 1 great-grandson: La-Nale Wolfe-Gary.
