Paul Martin Kincaid, age 83, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 21, 2025. Paul was born on June 27, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late James Ralph Kincaid and Helen Elizabeth Kaumans. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1960 and took classes at area community colleges. He served in the Army National Guard for two years and was proud of his lifelong career with Carpenters District Council of Kansas City- Local Union 168. Paul was deeply rooted in his faith and was a parishioner at Christ the King Church for over sixty years.
Paul is survived by his three children: Kenneth Kincaid (wife Sonia), Chris Lambrecht (husband Chris Williams), Jackie Broyles (husband Kerry); seven grandkids: Jamie Eubanks, Jolinda Kiel (husband Austin), Justin Eubanks (wife Chloe), Antonio Kincaid (wife Michelle), Clayton Lambrecht (wife Ashley), Alejandro Kincaid, and Amadeo Kincaid, four great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Paul was the sixth child of nine. His surviving siblings include his sisters: Rita Wilkus and Delores Schoenberger and brothers: Ben, David and Joe. Preceded in death are brothers Jim, Bernie and Tim and son-in-law, Kevin Lambrecht.
Those familiar with Paul knew that he had a passion for the outdoors. As a young man growing up and even in his later years with his own children and grandchildren you would find him at the ball field, on the lake, playing golf, on a horse, walking through the woods, hunting mushrooms, chopping wood or in his retirement years sitting on his swing in his front yard and always cutting grass. He was a fan of the Royals, Chiefs and Jayhawks but these teams failed in comparison to Grand-Daddy’s support and love for his kids and grandkids in all of their endeavors. They mattered most to him. He lived a simple yet full life. Friendships and family prevailed over possessions. Paul was a friend and father figure to many. He was deeply benevolent and beneficent, always putting others before himself. In his heart there was a genuine concern for how others were doing and whether those around him felt accepted and cared for. He laughed, loved, served and did this life well. He will be dearly missed by all.
The family would like to thank all of the dedicated staff at Our Lady of Mercy, Oxford Grand Memory Care and Advanced Hospice. Your care and compassion for our loved one was exceptional. It was a great comfort to us that you cared so deeply for Paul, always meeting him with gentleness and kindness.
