

Robert Eugene Lipp, 79, of Edwardsville, KS., passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Robert was born on November 16, 1931 in Kansas City, KS., to Herman and Anna (Schived) Lipp. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran and served on board the USS Valley Forge. Robert was a member of IPF International Union and BAC Local Union #15 where he earned his 50 year card. He worked as a brick layer, and in his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Freddie, Eddie, Otto and Herb; three sisters, Frances, Marian and Rosemary. Survivors include his wife, Rosella M.(Riddle) Lipp of the home; mother of his children, Mary Lou Lipp; daughters, Rhoda J. Ridenour (Wayne) of Bonner Springs, KS, Janet S. Busch (Jim) of Edwardsville, KS, and step daughter, Linda L. Trente (Lee) of Liberty, MO; one son, Mike J. Lipp (Arlene) of Kissie Mills, MO; and stepson, Rex Roberson (Vangie) of Thailand. He will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Rickey, Samantha, David, Jesse, Nikki and Erika, along with Amy, Shaun and Ian, and faithful companion “baby girl”. Funeral Service with Military Honors will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. A private family Inurnment in Leavenworth National Cemetery will take place at a later date. Visitation will be 3:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
