

Rodney W. Rickman, 48, of KCK, passed away May 8, 2017. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 13th at Northwest Bible Church, 6520 NW 64th St., Kansas City, MO 64151. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 12th at the church. Interment will follow the service in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center.
Rodney was born July 4, 1968 in Jackson County, Mo. and was adopted by Gary and Linda Rickman. Rodney graduated from Shawnee Mission Christian School. He attended KCKCC and worked for many years as an inventory specialist at Arrowhead Containers. Rodney married the love of his life, Theresa Kincaid, on June 3, 2000. Rodney loved the Lord and this poured out into the lives of others in his home, family, church, and work and perfect strangers. He was the Principal of our Homeschool which he named "Gloria in excelsis Deo,” this means--Glory to God in the highest. He was a member of Northwest Bible Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible Quiz Coach and served in Awana ministry. He loved to mentor kids and see their growth. He was an inspiration of perserverance through adversity. Rodney liked to watch Basketball and Australian Football and was a fan of K-State athletics. He was an avid reader and played the mandolin. Rodney’s greatest love was his family, taking care of his “Honey Do” list and spending time with his kids. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Linda Rickman.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife of sixteen years, Theresa Rickman; their children, Mitchell Kincaid, Hannah Rickman Hershey (Chris), Chelsea Rickman Wagner (John), Adam Lugo (Mallory), John Lugo, Joshua Rickman, Grace Rickman, Sarah Rickman, Nicolas Rickman, Gabriel Rickman, and Abigail Rickman; his grandchildren, Davin Kincaid, Isabella Lugo, and Lily Lugo; his sisters, Faith Roche (Tom), and Hope Rickman; his nephews, Patrick Roche (Christy), Tommy Roche (Valerie), A. J. Roche (Julia), Jake Sutton, and Zach Sutton; as well as many other relatives and friends.
