Virginia Ann Rogers

Virginia Rogers, 89, life long area resident of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.

A loving mother, she was concerned and caring about all of her family. She was a great nature lover. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Rogers and son, Richard Rogers.

She is survived by her three sons; Gerry L. Rogers and his wife Sandra K. of Osawatomie, Kansas, Don L. Rogers and his wife Judy of Kansas City, Kansas, and Warren D. Rogers and his wife Sheralyn of Kansas City, Kansas. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 11 grandchildren: Donald Rogers Jr., Gail Rogers, Kathy DuJakovich, Mona Hawks, Joe Zwosta, Nancy Richman, Scott Rogers, Pamela Daniels, Todd Rogers, Doug Rogers and Angelia Lorenz; 23 great-grandchildren, including: Shaun Rogers, Christin Rogers, Tiffany Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Drew Rogers, Alyssa Lorenz, Tyler Daniels, Luke Daniels, Ryan Daniels, Aaron Rogers, Alaina Rogers, Austin Rogers, Trevor Rogers, Josh Gibson, Ashley Rogers, Jessica Rogers, Amanda Rogers, Jazmin Rogers, Nikki DuJakovich, Zac DuJakovich and Ian Hawks; 2 great- great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Rogers and Josh Gibson Jr.; and her neice, Anna Mae Clark.
