Walter W. Little, age 87, passed away after experiencing congestive heart failure during the late morning of July 11th, 2011. He resided in Overland Park, KS for the last 46 years. Walter’s outstanding service includes both WWII and Korean War duty with the U.S. Navy for eight years. Walter also worked as a master machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad until he retired in 1987. He was skilled in many crafts and specialized in television and electronics repair as a hobby. Most importantly, Walter set an example of love and faithfulness to his wife for 64 years and cared no less for his family and country.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Little of Overland Park, Kansas; his three sons, Gary, David, and Michael. Friends of Walter and his family are invited to attend a funeral service that will honor his meaningful life. The service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 15, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:30. Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home is located in Kansas City, Kansas, at 701 N. 94th St. The funeral home is located in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, which is just east of the Kansas Speedway.
