

Wayne Alan Lorfing, 70, of Lake Waukomis, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015. Graveside Services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street Kansas City, Kansas 66112 on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation at marf.org. Wayne was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 26, 1945. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War of the United States Army and served 2 tours in Nam in 1966-67. Wayne wrote his senator to volunteer for a 3rd tour and served in Nam as a combat medic in 1968. He was a manager/technical advisor at Heartland Multiple Listing Service from 1993 to 2007. He was a member of the National VFW and the American Military Retirees Association. Wayne was instrumental in the organization of Monday Night Tacos at Rancho Grande Cantina in Parkville, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Lorfing, children Jason Lorfing, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Suzanne and her husband Anthony Thompson, Houston, Texas, granddaughter Caroline Thompson, step-son William Tharp and his wife Cheri of Sugar Creek, Missouri, brothers Ronald Lorfing, Denver, Colorado, Michael Lorfing, Warsaw, Missouri, and sister Marsha Chezek, Prairie Village, Kansas.
