Zelma Louise Griffin

Zelma Louise Griffin, 67, of KCK, departed this earthly life to begin her eternal life on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on May 26, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles F. Preston and Betty R. Witkins-Preston. Louise moved to Kansas City, Kansas a year later. She married Larry D. Griffin in September of 1964, celebrating 50 years of love and joy. Louise accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She served faithfully as the secretary for Welborn Baptist Church until 2011. Louise was known for showing unconditional love to everyone she met. Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 5th at Welborn Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kansas.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Griffin of Kansas City, Kansas; two sons, Eric Griffin (Maureen) of Kansas City, Kansas, and Troy Griffin (Julie) of Dothan, Alabama; five grandchildren, Karen Griffin, Austin Griffin, Morgan Griffin, Cody Griffin, and Caroline Griffin, and seven great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
