Zola Mae Greenlee, 87, passed away September 22, 2018. A visitation will be 6-8pm, Wed., Sept. 26th at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be 11am, Thurs., Sept. 27th at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family encourages everyone to wear their favorite KU, Chiefs or Royals gear for the service, as she was an avid fan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Chapel Hill – Butler to assist with funeral expenses.
Zola was born April 5, 1931 in Hartville, MO to Robert Elmer and Zona Eldora Todd. She graduated from High School and was joined in marriage to Farris Greenlee. Zola worked for many years as an operator for the phone company and also worked as a beautician. She owned Speed Queen Laundry in the 70s-80s, and retired in 1997 after working in housekeeping for The Manor nursing home for many years. Zola was a long-time member of the Leavenworth Road Association. Her main focus was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren, as she lost both of her children at a young age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zona Todd; her husband, Farris Greenlee; her daughter, Ann White; and her son, Alan Greenlee, Sr.
Zola is survived by her sister, Cledith Gourley of Cabool, MO; her grandchildren, Jennifer Masters of KCK, Kristi Spencer (Eric) of KCK, Jamie Dinneen (Tim) of Basehor, KS, Alan Greenlee, Jr. (Renee) of Leavenworth, KS, Terry Greenlee of KCK, and Todd Greenlee (Jamie) of KCK; her great grandchildren, Kortney Masters (Josh), Natalie Masters, Bailey Spencer, Kaylee Spencer, Christopher Dinneen (Hannah), Sabrina Dinneen, Matthew Dinneen, Morgan Greenlee, Alyssa Greenlee, Aaron Sweet, Nathan Sweet, Destiny Greenlee, James Greenlee, Anthony Greenlee, Carys Greenlee, Sutton Greenlee, Georgia Greenlee, Keegan Greenlee, Mackenzie Greenlee, Emma Greenlee, and Zoie Greenlee; and her great great-grandbabies, Dalilah Thompson, Willow Dinneen, Kayden Dinneen, and Arabella Dinneen; as well as other relatives and friends.
