It was there he met his high school sweetheart, Sharon.
Albert and Sharon married in August of 1961 and remained in love until her passing in May of 2013. After her passing, Albert wrote Sharon notes daily and kept the house the way she left it.
Albert retired from GATX Railroad after a severe leg injury. Albert cared for his disabled brother at home for over 20 years. Albert was an avid sports fan especially those he participated in growing up, boxing and basketball. He took up golf later in life competing with his close cousin, Abe Garcia.
