

Albert R. Tinoco, Jr., 60, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2013 at NorthCare Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 3, 2013 at Sacred Heart-Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison, Kansas City, MO 64108; burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the church, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
Albert was born on June 9, 1952 to Albert R. Tinoco, Sr. and Angelina "Halo" Tinoco in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the oldest of nine children and learned hard work and dedication at an early age. He held his first job at age 13 working a paper route before and after school. He was a graduate of Westport High School and the Kansas City Welding Institute. Albert worked for many years at the GM Leeds Plant. His hobby and passion for automobiles is where he gained his reputation as the neighborhood go-to mechanic. He was preceded in death by his mother in March of 1999; his brother, Michael, in August 1975 and his eldest son, Anthony, in April of 1997. Albert's survivors include his wife of 39 years, Cynthia, of the home; daughter, Monica Becerra of KCK; three sons, Angelo (Deann) of Liberty, Missouri, Nicholas (Rosemary) of Independence, Missouri and Shawn of Independence, Missouri; his father, Albert R Tinoco, Sr. of KCMO; four brothers, Daniel (Lucy), David, Gilbert (Micaela), and Robert ; three sisters, Gloria, Rose and Tina; and 15 grandchildren. He was a very loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all. He will truly be missed but never forgotten by many.
