Alfred J Garcia

Alfred J. Garcia of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at home with his family on Oct. 2, 2013. Visitation will be 6-8 pm (Rosary at 7 pm) on Friday, Oct 4 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood, KCMO. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help-Redemptorist Fathers Church, 3333 Broadway, KCMO.

Alfred was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lola (Lae) Garcia; by his parents, Alejandro and Ramona Garcia; granddaughter, Natalie M Garcia; and nephew, John Joe Juarez. Survivors include his sister, Velia Sanchez of Thousand Oaks, CA; brothers, Martin Garcia (wife Angie) of Kansas City, MO and Frank Garcia of Lee’s Summit, MO; sons, Alex Garcia and wife Arlene of Newnan, GA, Art Garcia and wife Linda of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Linda Garcia and husband Peter Fett of East Longmeadow, MA; nephew, Alfred (Freddie) and wife Mary Ann Juarez of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Lauren, Ashley and Michael Garcia; and a great- granddaughter on the way and a host of many loved relatives and close friends. Memorial contributions can be made to the church and the American Heart Association of Kansas City, MO.

Alfred was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for over 45 yrs. He will be remembered with great affection for his devotion to his family, generosity, his enthusiasm for life, and enjoyed following the Kansas City Royals.
