Alice was born on August 14, 1943 in Elgin, Illinois. She was the youngest daughter of Edwin and Dorothy (Phillips) Hobbs. Alice was a caregiver and took care of her mother when she was elderly and also did residential care for those in need. Alice was married to Leon Carpenter who passed away on March 27, 2018. Alice's passions included spending time with family, shopping, and traveling. Alice is survived by her daughter, Eva Lewis of Lawrence, KS; Gene and Lene Carpenter of Kansas City, MO, nieces, nephews, and cousins; granddaughters Erin Reiter, Monica Strown, Vanessa (Eric) Calovich, and eight great grandchildren Alyssa, Christian, Ryan, Serina, Sierra, Hailey, Marley, Avery, and soon to be Wesley.
