Ann C. Oliphant

Ann (Higgins) Oliphant, 79, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 27th, 10:00 a.m., at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 26th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145.

Ann was born February 28, 1934, along with her twin brother, Asa, in North Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Northeast High School in 1952, she worked for many years as a secretary before becoming a homemaker.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Oliphant; her parents, Floyd and Eunice Higgins; four brothers, Walter, B.F., Kenton, and her twin, Asa; three sisters, Lois, Kay and Ellie. She is survived by her beloved son, Frank Noland Oliphant of Kansas City, MO and wife Erin Oliphant, and her precious granddaughter, Anna Oliphant; one brother, Dudley Higgins of Great Falls, MT; and three sisters, Faye McDaniel of Blue Springs, MO, Jody Cloverdyke of Lake Tapawingo, MO, and Colleen Fortner of Climax Springs, MO.
